In year 12, I was the captain of the Geelong College Swim team working with students

lot of different, managing all age groups and personali>es.
I was also a prefect of my house team. In the roll I have to again, work with students
from year is 9-12. I am to organise different house ac>vi>es such as swimming and
athle>cs, which are the main events. Again similar to Swimming, I had to work with the
teachers as well; I am good with working with different ages.
I have also been appointed Vice-Captain of The Geelong College Athle>cs team, with a
focus of captaining the throwing team.
During my >me at Camp Australia I worked in an Assistance posi>on but would also be
a coordinator when there was a roll that needed filling in. This would mean that I
would be going to unknown schools and running programs with children that didn’t
know me. This was great for my confidence when I was able to show my strength in
leadership through having to run programs that were unaware of myself, I learnt the
importance of having a voice and managing a room or children I had just met.

Re- Ms Monique Day
I have known Monique as a student at The Geelong College for a number of years now.
During this >me, Monique has been a student in my classes, as well as undertaking
significant roles of responsibility in areas where I have required students to perform
leadership roles. Monique has this year been Swimming Captain of the Girls swim
team, which required a huge amount of responsibility and coordina>on of large
numbers of girls over the course of the season. She displayed on many occasions an
ability to work with a wide cross sec>on of individuals, including her own peer group.
Throughout the season, I was able to rely on Monique’s maturity to manage here team
and perform her du>es and responsibili>es without any difficulty.
This year Monique has also performed her responsibili>es as a House Prefect of
McArthur House in a very commihed and competent manner. She has gained the
respect of the students in the House and worked hard to ensure that all students in the
House are supported. As the Head of House, I have appreciated the way Monique has
performed her du>es as Prefect and I have always been able to rely on her if I ever
required assistance with House mahers.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Monique Day as a young person with many fine and
admirable quali>es. She is an excellent communicator with a very strong work ethic
and I am proud to vouch for her as a person of excellent character.
Yours Sincerely,
Philip Taylor
