Then​ ​I​ ​finished​ ​every​ ​single​ ​course​ ​on​ ​Lynda​ ​talking​ ​about​ ​SEO​ ​and​ ​at​ ​the​ ​time​ ​there​ ​was​ ​no​ ​more courses​ ​on​ ​the​ ​web​ ​to​ ​learn​ ​SEO​ ​so​ ​I​ ​turned​ ​to​ ​blogs.​ ​(I​ ​could​ ​provide​ ​links​ ​to​ ​the​ ​courses certifications​ ​upon​ ​request) Going​ ​from​ ​popular​ ​blogs​ ​like​ ​Moz​ ​and​ ​Backlinko​ ​to​ ​less​ ​popular​ ​like​ ​Viperchill​ ​and​ ​point​ ​blank SEO​ ​I​ ​learned​ ​a​ ​lot​ ​from​ ​these​ ​people. But​ ​one​ ​can’t​ ​learn​ ​SEO​ ​and​ ​digital​ ​marketing​ ​just​ ​from​ ​reading​ ​and​ ​taking​ ​courses​ ​so,​ ​here​ ​is​ ​my work​ ​experience. Work​ ​Experience: There​ ​is​ ​3​ ​periods​ ​of​ ​time​ ​in​ ​my​ ​career: 11​ ​:​ ​18 Since​ ​I​ ​was​ ​11​ ​years​ ​old​ ​I​ ​worked​ ​with​ ​my​ ​father​ ​at​ ​the​ ​summers​ ​till​ ​I​ ​became​ ​18.​ ​I​ ​worked​ ​as​ ​a waiter​ ​at​ ​a​ ​restaurant. ​ ​I​ ​learned​ ​a​ ​lot​ ​at​ ​this​ ​gig,​ ​from​ ​how​ ​to​ ​communicate​ ​with​ ​the​ ​customers​ ​to​ ​how​ ​to​ ​make businesses​ ​that​ ​last​ ​I​ ​gained​ ​a​ ​lot​ ​of​ ​experience​ ​in​ ​a​ ​very​ ​early​ ​age 18:20 Here​ ​I​ ​turned​ ​digital.​ ​I​ ​spent​ ​a​ ​whole​ ​year​ ​taking​ ​courses​ ​and​ ​reading​ ​books​ ​about​ ​digital marketing​ ​and​ ​SEO.​ ​Then​ ​I​ ​got​ ​a​ ​gig​ ​at​ ​an​ ​agency​ ​here​ ​in​ ​Egypt​ ​and​ ​I​ ​spent​ ​5​ ​months​ ​with​ ​them​ ​and then​ ​left​ ​them​ ​because​ ​they​ ​were​ ​really​ ​boring​ ​to​ ​me. They​ ​didn’t​ ​have​ ​any​ ​challenges​ ​to​ ​anyone​ ​and​ ​they​ ​didn’t​ ​push​ ​anything​ ​forward​ ​because​ ​the market​ ​at​ ​the​ ​middle​ ​east​ ​is​ ​pretty​ ​steady​ ​so​ ​I​ ​left​ ​them. 20:21 This​ ​is​ ​the​ ​most​ ​interesting​ ​year​ ​of​ ​my​ ​entire​ ​life.​ ​I​ ​started​ ​an​ ​affiliate​ ​site​ ​working​ ​with​ ​Amazon associates​ ​in​ ​the​ ​car​ ​sound​ ​system​ ​space. I​ ​invested​ ​just​ ​$75​ ​for​ ​hosting​ ​and​ ​anything​ ​else​ ​I​ ​made​ ​by​ ​my​ ​hand.​ ​From​ ​design​ ​to​ ​content​ ​and SEO​ ​effort​ ​I​ ​did​ ​it​ ​all​ ​along.​ ​And​ ​after​ ​8​ ​months​ ​the​ ​site​ ​now​ ​is​ ​ranking​ ​at​ ​the​ ​first​ ​page​ ​and​ ​the​ ​first 5​ ​results​ ​in​ ​a​ ​lot​ ​of​ ​my​ ​queries. The​ ​most​ ​remarkable​ ​thing​ ​I​ ​did​ ​was​ ​that​ ​I​ ​gained​ ​a​ ​backlink​ ​from​ ​Business​ ​Insider​ ​investing​ ​Just​ ​2 days​ ​of​ ​my​ ​time.
