Nicholas Laugher

I'm an experienced freelance writer and editor with a large history of work centered around music journalism and marketing, as well as recent work in different roles within the music industry. I've been a freelance writer for the last 9 years, writing for publications such as Noisey, Motherboard, Munchies, Globe and Mail, The Coast, Beatroute, and Cult Montreal. I have a BA in philosophy from Dalhousie University and a graduate diploma in journalism from Concordia University. As well as being a musician, fronting the band Ocean Charter of Values, and playing with various other groups, I also run a small independent record label and provide PR services for musical artists, having worked with bands such as Year of Glad, Motherhood, The Hypochondriacs, and Prozzäk. In 2017, I took a marketing coordinator contract position with the Halifax Pop Explosion music festival.
