Hi! I am a CPA and a virtual assistant. I finished my bachelors degree last March 2014 and graduated Cum Laude and an awardee of Diaz, Murillo and Dalupan CPAs. I was employed by one of the big 4 accounting firms worldwide. Last July 2016, I transferred to a bank as an internal audit officer. Just last 2017, I followed a career path of being an accountant. I am currently the finance manager of a mobile development company based in the Philippines. 

As an employee of an application development company, I am able to do finance works related to Facebook and Google. To gain experience and knowledge on marketing side, I am currently taking a course in Filipino Virtual Assistance Academy. 

These are my tasks as an accountant (finance manager):

  • Prepare voucher and invoice for disbursement and official receipt for service  revenue.
  • Analyze and enter daily transactions into accounting system including journal  entries for accruals, deferrals and other adjusting entries.
  • Review the payroll register every cut-off including the government  contributions.
  • Prepare financial reports for the executive management and for internal controls purposes.
  • Prepare financial statements for submission to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)  and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
  • Adhere to monthly, quarterly and annual tax compliance to BIR.
  • Propose to the management on strategies for minimizing tax liabilities.

These are my tasks as an internal auditor:

  • Execute the audit program and risk assessment procedures.
  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of all audit working papers.
  • Maintain an objective state of mind and an appropriate level of professional skepticism and  perform all work with due care.
  • Perform or supervise the performance of all audit procedures in accordance with IA  policies.
  • Prepare initial audit reports and presenting results and recommendations to audit  committee.

These are my tasks as an external auditor:

  • Participate in the proper planning, scheduling and time control of the audit works.
  • Perform an evaluation of the design of the client controls for specifically identified key  business risks
  • Perform controls testing
  • Perform substantive testing
