I have been a Scrum Master / Agile Coach for six years with ten plus years as a Program Manager for both software and hardware development. My journey from Waterfall to Agile started at Panduit in 2012.  At Panduit, we were developing integrated hardware and software systems. While shadowing the Agile Coach I learned how to lead by example related to the principles and values of Agile along with the Kanban and Scrum frameworks.  After the Agile Coach moved on, I took the lead on the Community of Practices and Agile transformation team.  

When I joined BMW Technology as a consultant, I was a Sr. Scrum Master for new consulting teams that started producing quality functionality within two months. Based on our success, three additional consulting teams were added.  I took on the additional role of Agile Coach as the number of teams increased in both our release train and other release trains. I held training classes on story writing and sizing at all levels of the product increment and release planning. I mentored individual team members as conflict arose or growth opportunities presented themselves.  

At Wells Fargo, the teams were struggling with making their commitments to the customer. Initially, I observed and listened to the team members and managers to assess what was happening. Based on the Agile maturity of the team and the organization, I provided recommendations that improved their ability to meet the customer's expectations.  I developed and led multiple training sessions on Agile and Scrum values and principles, team dynamics, and story writing techniques. I facilitated multiple leadership sessions on agile culture shift and organizational agile.  I mentored and coached the Engineering Manager in order to promote a self-organizing team that was responsible for their own decisions.
