My first job was in a BPO but it didn't last long because I won a photography contest from a renowned company and I had to represent the Philippines in SE ASIA. So I had to incur an absence (even I'm just in probationary which is not really a good thing to do) just to travel to Singapore. I did not win but it was a worthwhile experience. It opened my eye and heart to be more ambitious. The next job that I had was a part-time auditor of nurse's notes of a nursing home from the US. So while I was on part-time, I did some freelance job and focused on my interest in photography. I had a several gigs back then. After which, I applied to a Diabetic supply company from the US and it's an in house company and I was an Accounts Receivable Specialist and after a few years became an EDI Specialist (insurance claims specialist). When I left the job after almost four years, I decided to pursue Nursing as it was the course that I've finished studying. I applied as a Private Duty Nurse to a mother of a diplomat. It lasted 4 months. It should've been longer but my grandmother had stroke and somebody has to take over her management of care and I felt responsible so we flew back to the island where I grew up, where my grandma lives and it's been two years now since we came back and now my old flame interest in agriculture rekindled and I just have to try it. Now, I am starting a soon-to-be a business thing which sells natural and herbal supplements fresh from my garden. In between the years that I have stayed here I made sure I was productive so I learned some carpentry, electrical, painting walls, did some tutoring to children in the neighbourhood, honed my computer skills, I even assisted other elders here in the island whenever possible.
