I’ve been an inbound chat and email support for 4 years and 5 months on my previous job. We handle all types of concerns in our chat and email, it can either be a general information concern (i.e. Google Hotline) or account specific concern (i.e. plan change or device troubleshooting). The email is usually personalize but we can also use an automatic format type of email. When it comes to chat, the tools we used are Live Person and Touch Commerce (Nuance). Live person is a data based chat, it has a small chat box and from there I can type my formal and informal message to our customers who has inquiries/concerns, we have the option to change chat text style. Touch Commerce is a data based chat application, we have the option to change the font size of the chat, we can also save our scripts, and we can use HTML code in our chat in case we need to highlight something on the chat. And then for emails, we used the tool called Outlook Express and Clarify. The Outlook Express is like a regular email account, we can receive emails from client/customer directly, and we need to manually put the customer’s email address. Clarify is a data base application we use for opening customer’s account and saving the changes we made/noting the account. It is the internal email we used. I would like to further discuss what we do in an interview. I would like to know the details of the job.
