I am Rhondel Guevara, a Business Development professional with over six years of mostly B2B experience in tech, edtech, education, and assessments. I look forward to a role that suits my experiences and career goals of demonstrating excellence in leads management, consultative selling, and account management.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a specialisation in Marketing and Sales; and recently completed my coursework from the University of Strathclyde for a master’s degree in International Management. I demonstrate professional fluency in English as a result of my education, my work experience at the British Council, and my involvement in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Aptis (British Council English language proficiency test).

In addition to the qualifications above, I have experiences working in the private and non-profit sectors: engaging with executives, clients, stakeholders, colleagues, and supervisors both in the UK and in Asian and North American markets, with a keen mindset of building interpersonal relationships. Having worked in lean teams, I learned to organise my workload, manage myself and my professional relationships, and establish priorities (business continuity and business development). Armed with an understanding that I work with limited resources, I have managed to initiate activities, workshops, events, conferences, and other business development activities to strengthen and improve market position while scoping for new leads. Furthermore, I have been subject to constant pressure to deliver and improve on the way I do things - learning as much as I can to pay attention to minute details - and at the same time, be available to support others (subordinates, administrative staff) by way of coaching and mentoring.

I am aware that taking on this role entails upholding a positive image for the organisation. As a former member of the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations, I have undergone mandatory training on anti-fraud and corruption, child protection policies, health and safety standards, anti-terrorism and security, and equality. These trainings, over the past three years, have translated to a more solid sense of integrity and professionalism grounded on the values of being dependable, sound judgement, initiative, teamwork, and creativity. My experience working with international organisations based in the UK and in the US such as IELTS, the Royal Academy of Dance, various exam boards, EducationUSA, various student placement agencies, recruitment agencies, and universities here and abroad, is also to be credited.
