Richard Francis Rimmer

Dear Sir/madam 

I have a wealth of experience of over 13 years having taught all levels and all ages from kindergarten through to adults.  In December 2008 I completed my training at the Thailand TESOL School in Bangkok.  I found my training extremely valuable and a delightful experience.  In July 2007 I graduated from the Arden School of Theatre a part of Manchester University in England. Whilst I was there, I performed many plays, which included works from Shakespeare, American theatre, modern contemporary, and Jacobean playwrights.  During my training, I also taught English and voice classes in Zurich Switzerland for 2 weeks. This involved teaching students how an actor trains their voice, where accents come from, and works from Shakespeare, I found the experience extremely rewarding and one that gave me the impetus to want to teach. 

Throughout my life, I have had a varied career from working in the Merchant Navy where I worked on board some of the most prestigious cruise liners in the world, to sales to an Electrician.  I have also worked in America at 2 summer camps as a lifeguard and mountain bike instructor.  It was at my last summer camp French Woods (a performing arts camp) in the summer of 2004 I also worked as an assistant director on a couple of plays.  I have many books and teaching materials to assist me with my lessons.
