Working to support the implementation of the organization, Research, education and outreach programs as programs and logistics manager in Maasai Mara. This program is aimed at creating and bettering the relationship between wildlife and the community and ultimately reducing human wildlife conflicts (HWC), through a holistic effort from the various stakeholders in the Maasai Mara Ecosystem. 2014 December- 2017 March; Community Projects manager, Wildlife Direct Organization. Managing the Maasai Community empowerment project in Amboseli Ecosystem pioneered at Mbirikani, a partnership project by UNDP and the Office of the First Lady (Kenya) implemented by WildlifeDirect. The project main objective was to support Maasai women to develop entrepreneurial incentives that provide alternative livelihood incomes, hence enabling sustainable conservation therefore a positive relationship between the communities and wildlife. This is project enhanced part of the solutions to the Human Wildlife conflicts. Major achievements; Development of a streamlined green enterprise for the Maasai communities hence abandoning of Horticulture which was leading to the shrinking of the wildlife habitats. Development of the business plans for the communities and help them implement the same, this includes and international online shop available of the link as; Oltomenadupo.com Initiation of a community based door to door anti- poaching campaign known as ‘wamama na wanyama pori’ (Maasai women and conservation) run by 247 women to educate and build capacity to the indirect project beneficiaries. Developed and efficiently managed the women products through social media marketing. Proper reporting to the donor (UNDP & Office of the First Lady) on both finance and programs through the newly adopted HACT( Harmonized Approach for Cash Transfer) system Proper execution and implementation of the activities outlined and in line with the donor (UNDP) and the implementing partners set expectations and standards. Developed a partners/stakeholders networking system that enhanced a holistic implementation and achievement sustainable conservation in Amboseli ecosystem. Proposal writing - Fund raised for project scale-up for second term through a partnership with Wild Lives Foundation. 2014 October- 2015 March Intern- at WildlifeDirect- Developed and Published a community guide book to the new Wildlife Conservation and Management Act 2013 (WCMA 2013). Major achievements; Participated in collection and analysis of both Marine and terrestrial data that was used to advice the Kenyan authorities on the conservation trends and status of all the species.
