Control and communication system design through ModBus to establish a network that links to Amazon
Web Services server, in order to monitor and control remotely the TriGeneration generators manufactured
by the company, obtaining the data through devices like PLCs and electrical inverters, which let to the
possibility to check the unit’s performance over the service runtime. Update and maintenance of the local
unit system to develop tools for a better monitorization and technical service. Develop of applications
(software), and access devices (hardware), to establish a smart connection between the internet and the
company’s units (Internet of Things), and to make interactable external interface for a better customer
experience. I want to highlight the following achievements.

The device for the communication system is a Linux server executing scripts in Python.
The PLC logic and the configuration of the PLC itself was also done by me.
The remote management on service was a routine work.
Implementation of controls for engineering through the same Linux server.
Design of a local user interface displayed over an external touchscreen driven by a single board
computer (the same one that runs the Linux server)
Development of an Android application connected to the Amazon Web Services server that
display the units belonging to each customer, along with critical information for them, giving the
capacity to control the unit through it and deploying high security measures on the Amazon Web
Services server.

of Maracaibo city, caring for the proper functioning of the main components like power transformators,

for the maintenances in order to meet with the annual schedule. Monitorization of the substations status
