I have completed the Information Technology: Software Development course, specializing in Geographical
Information Systems at NMMU North Campus in 2008. Since then I have completed modules through
Salzburg University. I have been working in a GIS environment for the past 9 years and have gained
experience from ESRI SA and have worked at HERE (previously known as Navteq and Nokia Location &
Commerce) for the past 7 years. I am a hard working individual and enthusiastic about learning new

For my final year project I designed a desktop based Real Estate Program on the Windows platform which
uses GIS technologies for mapping, routing and displaying houses available in the area etc.
The purpose of the software was for the selling of houses and comparison of past sales figures using
detailed reports.

Worked at SetPlan PE where I was given the task of capturing and digitizing properties for the purpose of
calculating rates. I also acquired deeds information, ordered country-wide SG data and did server
maintenance which included buying new hardware, installing it and doing backups.

ESRI SA – Data Capturer and Technical Support
Shadowed for technical experience on maintaining servers in government buildings and worked on a
Scanning Project whereby all of the Roads, Storm Water, Transportation, Sewerage and Water plans in
the local municipalities of Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage were being scanned into the system and then
plotted through ArcGIS to the relevant locations.
