Description:The project deals with Workforce management system which consists of a central time-keeping application (Workforce Central) and analytics product (Workforce Analytics). The Workforce Central keeps track of the employee time-information and enables managers to review and approve timesheet information for their subordinates. Workforce analytics is the analytics product of workforce management system. Analytics Core is the base element and there are three verticals healthcare, retail and manufacturing. Workforce Central has an application to Captures data from different inputs; some customers have many applications and one database. Workforce Analytics looks at data in relation to various dimensions over a range of various time-periods. It delivers data from the Time Keeper application. It provides information about labor spending, labor distribution, absenteeism and overtimes. The objective of Analytics is to generate strategies for reduction of labor cost or increase in productivity. Analytics product has following components: ETL (Stored procedures, views) which fetches the data from different sources like Time Keeper & Payroll, Analytics Data Mart, and Analytics Manager. Workforce Analytics for HealthCare is a decision support system meant for HC vertical. It supports reporting at summary or employee level. Payroll and volume data are the basic building blocks of it. This data can be loaded into the warehouse through excel files containing macros that load data into staging tables first and then into the data-mart. There is a schema called ETL DB to Load data from Workforce central to Data-mart and ETL DB has Store Procedures, Tables, Staging Tables and Temporary Tables which are used to transfer data from one Database to another. There are several atomic and summary procedures in the ETL schema for loading data from the OLTP into the warehouse. There also exist multiple wrapper procedures that control the flow of the ETL logic. Contribution: Developing code in PLSQL and T-SQL. Developing Talend jobs for Summary level procedures. Developing ETL jobs to implement Symbolic Time Periods. Identifying test scenarios and creating Test cases for unit and functional testing. Functional Test case execution. The main task was to migrate data from production environment into DWH environment, which included Design, Development, Testing and Deployment of the ETL jobs. Various jobs were created reflecting entire DWH. This project includes modules like Premium, Claim, Policy, Partner, IMD & All other procedures and functions. Includes new development as well as support, maintenance/enhancement of existing applications. Description:OWAZ is the first overseas Client of Bajaj Allianz; this Project involves automating all the processes of insurance for e.g. Policy issuance, Claim registration, Reporting etc. The scenario at the Client side was that there were different types of systems which created a difficult scenario during closure of accounts and the generation of regular reports where there was lot of trouble in integrating reports from various systems and in reconciling data from different systems. Further one of the major problems faced was the modification of the premium figures pertaining to any previous period which affects the entire reporting pertaining to the previous period & the same comes to knowledge much later. Hence a unified IT system was expected which allows all types of customized reports from a single system. Contribution: Created mappings to migrate data based on the conditions given in the specifications. Created and optimized source-to-target mappings by using aggregator, filter, joiner, expression, look-up transformations. Was involved in the IDDN Report module.
