Samuel Danquah

Samuel is an engineer and technologist with a strong drive to challenge the status quo into diving in new depths of innovative thinking. With a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Samuel has been passionate about drone technology and its impact across various verticals such as Agriculture, Transportation. He brings on years of experience in designing and building drones for development and growth across industries while utilizing open source technologies. He has contributed positively to national renewable energy projects for UNEP and UNDP in Ghana. 

He is a strong advocate of open source technologies and emerging technologies for emerging markets. At Kumasi Hive, He managed a number of innovative projects and programs such as the Smart Home Lighting System, Vehicle Tracking System, using Web and Mobile technologies, Electronic Scale Platform for the Agricultural Value Chain as well as managing social impact hardware startups such as the Educational Science Set from Dext Technology and the low-cost RETR3D Printer from Klaks Technologies.

Samuel is an organizing member of the Africa Open Science and Hardware Summit (AfricaOSH). He was an instrumental member of the Local Organizing Committee for Innovation Prize Africa (IPA) Marketplace Exhibition 2017 held under the auspices of His Excellency, President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI), Ghana. He also led the maiden edition of the Ghana chapter of the NASA International Space Apps Program.

He brings on board combined expertise in engineering, entrepreneurship, business, and software as a focal point for accelerated growth.
