Sashka Avanyan

My name is Sashka and I’m a social entrepreneur and filmmaker. I studied philosophy at the University of McGill where I simultaneously started my career as a videographer and video editor. 

Most prominently my experience lies in educational videos, music videos, and short promotional reels. Currently my focus lies in further developing my skills in the sphere of documentary filmmaking.

I was born in Houston, Texas but raised in Moscow, Russia until the age of 15, at which point I moved to Canada for 6 years. In may of 2018 I moved to Armenia after being a volunteer there for 10 months, and in January of 2019 I co-founded Creopia, a visual arts production company with a mission for social impact.
