PROJECT # 2 Title : Tanzania Client : TUI, Luton, London Duration : May 14 – May 15 Environment : Java,Spring,Hibernate,MySql Project Description Tanzania is the application that powers the late deal finder on Thomson and First choice website. TRACS generates a T4 file that contains all the offers available with their pricing. Tanzania will process this file and provide a platform to quickly generate offers based on user criterion. The Tanzania build process is a cron job that is triggered every day. The Tanzania application schedules this ETL process every fortnight. The application applies business rules on the data and loads the data into its Mysql DB. The late deals home page performs a default search using the Tanzania application. It queries database based on the search criteria and returns the results to the Late deals page. Responsibilities Developed the UI Layer by using JSF Framework. Merlin uses the various reservation systems such as TRACS and FSS for searching and booking of flights. Merlin application performs different types of searches based on the search criteria provided by the user. It will provide the details to Itinerary page which will show the full details of the flight and cost. Booking page will contain different sections as Self ticketing, Meal Options. It will contact common payment server for the payment. Merlin will book the flights in TRACS and sends out confirmation email to the customer.
