My career graph is a perfect blend of the job responsibilities that I discharged in my capacity as a print media journalist, corporate communications and corporate social responsibility officer across sectors over a span of nine years.
Till May 31, 2016, I was associated with the Communications department of Rotary India Literacy Mission, Kolkata. Previously, I was a part of the Corporate Communications & PR department of Dharampal Satyapal Limited from May, 2013 to January, 2016. Prior to joining the DS group, I worked as a senior copy editor with the Seven Sisters Post. I also worked with The Times of India as a copy editor from May 1, 2008, to July 21, 2011. I had started as a sub-editor with The Sentinel from July 2007.
I am used to facing stiff deadlines on a daily basis and can co-ordinate with various teams since I have always been part of a team that’s responsible to give the final look to any story being reported.
My father had a job with an all-India transfer liability. That conditioned me to value diversity. This openness allows me to reach out to people anywhere, which is very important in today’s multi-cultural and virtual society.
