The data management aspect of my job involved checking that we had adequate data for all
new products, and improving data for existing products, using our CMS (STEP).
The copy editing aspect of my job involved proofreading printed publications, including
catalogues, promotional leaflets and brand magazines. I also worked on existing
publications to bring them up to date and ensure we had a consistent style.
Copywriting was the biggest part of my job at Nisbets. I wrote engaging copy for the
catalogues, brand copy, buying guides and articles for the website, all of which was B2B
content. I also worked on our domestic site, a fairly new venture for the business. I wrote
recipes, lifestyle blogs, copy for the Home Chef website and copy for our email campaigns.
I was given a lot of freedom when it came to creating the content plan for the blog coming up with engaging content that complemented our monthly theme.

makeovers. This Included writing meta descriptions and making sure content was SEO

This was a voluntary position, finding out about interesting events and venues in the local
area. I visited vintage furniture shops and picked the best, wrote press releases and went
to local markets to find out what was worth doing for visitors to the city, and locals.

I researched and wrote content for a monthly advertisement feature for local shops
and restaurants. This involved interviewing the owners and transcribing the
conversation, then editing this to fit a double page spread in the magazine. I also
selected 21 things to do in Bristol for a monthly feature.
