My mission is defined by my understanding of others and my empathy for their pain (People). My vision comes from my curiosity, imagination, and artistic talent (Product). My methods are from my training in engineering, my experience on teams, and my observations from consulting (Process). Once aware of someone’s pain-point it is difficult for me to “turn off” trying to make their experience better. I strive every day to leave the people and places I interact with better than I found them. The systems we organize ourselves with should not only mirror but also enhance the best of human nature. People are who IT serves, it’s purpose, both means and end. As a team builder, I believe in empowering smart and creative individuals with autonomy, mastery, and purpose. I’m going to naturally create a vision for the product I’m working on and continuously search for ways to extract and create additional value. The products I deliver should elicit the same response as a power drill given to man with a screw driver. To maximize throughput, I’m going to eliminate waste on whatever process is in place to increase the feedback loop on the value we’re delivering. I will be relentless in finding ways to improve the team, the department, and the company’s performance. I am intrinsically driven to build, to make things better, and to find new value propositions for old ideas.
