Personal Statement
I am a highly motivated and hard working individual who has been working full-time as an Office
Manager after leaving secondary school and completing my Queensland Certificate of Education. I
completed school with excellent grades in my subjects, which includes Ancient History, English,
Mathematics, Drama and Business. While completing school at Pacific Pines State High School, along
with my time working as an Office Manager, I discovered a passion for the inner workings of a
business and how to successfully market in order enhance business development.
Within this passion, I aspire to position myself within a company which aims to grow and develop its
inner practices, eventually working my way up to a management or leadership role. I am striving for
this goal with the hope that I can provide new ideas and innovative techniques for the development
of both internal practices and marketing.
The previous experience I have gained will, in my opinion, allow me to achieve my goals of
leadership. This is because I have enhanced my skills in customer care and service, through
hospitality and retail jobs that had me interact with a wide array of people from different
backgrounds, both as colleagues and clients.
As well as this, my sales and marketing abilities have soared through my work with iBusiness Group,
which had me creating content, brochures and promoting online through the management of the
company website and social media accounts.
Finally, the greatest skill I have achieved that will assist me in reaching my goal is working under
pressure. This skill can mean many different things depending on the industry. For instance, if it
were hospitality, this would mean a busy restaurant with orders to be filled. However, in the case of
working within business management, this encompasses the ability to ensure a business is operating
at full efficiency with any problems arising being solved in a timely manner.
Thus, the skills I have achieved, combined with my passion for business management and marketing,
has driven me to seek out employment in this field in order to meet my overall goal of leadership.
