About

My name is Yasmin Rasidi, and I am from Jakarta, Indonesia. I am a social science graduate with extensive experience both as a writer and a teacher.

I have prior experience in journalism. I wrote for www.citizentruth.org, www.insideover.com, www,ibtimes.sg, and www.theonlinecitizen.com. Sometimes I write for zenger.news and www.southeastasiaglobe.com.

I am welcome to write about various topics, from politics to business. Football writing is also fine as I used to write about football in the past.

Previously, I worked as a media monitoring for a PR firm in Jakarta and as a translator for Xinhua News Agency

I am also passionate about football. I wrote for www.theballissquare.co.uk. I wrote for an Indonesian-language site www.indosport.com

As a teacher, I used to work at ILP Cinere I had prior experience teaching for corporate clients. Maybe, I am open to remote teaching opportunities or other education-related jobs.

Currently, I am looking for a full-time remote writing job after finishing my contract with Charlton Media Group in January last year. In May last year, I got a job as a writer for a US-based company with crypto-related clients. However, the contract was ended due to financial problems.

I am also interested in being a journalist due to my experience in writing for various outlets.I like interviewing people even though I know I must learn more to ask questions to sources. If given a chance, I am willing to show my best and learn to improve.

I am now doing translation jobs with an India-based agency. The company sometimes assigns me to translate content for magazines in partnership with the Indian Foreign Ministry. I translate from English to Indonesian.

I am willing to learn something new and explore. I like seeing things from different angles and how to make it interesting. It is always a challenge to pitch stories and I never stop because of multiple rejections.

Feedback is highly appreciated. I always appreciate inputs and suggestions. Sometimes it hurts to find out that we have made mistakes. Sometimes we can feel down too. However, I am trying not to give up easily and fight again.

I never claim my skills are perfect. That's why, I am always eager to learn new skills that can help me to get a better job in the future. I never feel like it is too late to learn, as everyone has his or her path to success.

I am now improving my English skills by joining a Basic TOEFL class. Besides that class, I am learning about VA skills by joining a video course on VA.

Learning is a never-ending process. In this modern world, it is crucial to gain new skills to survive.
