Alex Tello started his career in Post Production in 2001. After graduating from sound engineering school, he went off to work for large companies like Technicolor, Deluxe Digital Studios and Zoo Digital. During his 13 years in post production, Alex acquired the knowledge on how to create and manage a production house from every aspect.
In 2009, he created his own production company “Tellus Films” and produced his first short film “The Mustard Stain”. Alex Tello directed, produced, edited, and starred in The Mustard Stain film. The film went on to receive local recognition and circled the festival circuit for 2 years.
In 2010, Alex decided to unite his two passions: animals and film. Here, the franchise of “Furthest from the Wild” was born. The feature documentary brought attention to the animal sanctuary world and enlightened the viewers on the true struggles and triumphs they live. The documentary went on to win awards, such as, Best Documentary and Best Political Documentary. In 2014, the film was acquired for distribution by Vision Films and can be purchased on platforms such as: Amazon Prime, Itunes, Google Play, and YouTube.
After the great success of the feature documentary film, Alex is now expanding his vision into an ongoing documentary series. Season 1 acquired funding in 2016 and will be focused on worldwide animal rescues and the incredible teams who save them.
