Career
Alex Tello started his career in Post Production in 2001. After graduating from
sound engineering school, he went off to work for large companies like
Technicolor, Deluxe Digital Studios and Zoo Digital. During his 13 years in post
production, Alex acquired the knowledge on how to create and manage a
production house from every aspect.
In 2009, he created his own production company “Tellus Films” and produced
his first short film “The Mustard Stain”. Alex Tello directed, produced, edited,
and starred in The Mustard Stain film. The film went on to receive local
recognition and circled the festival circuit for 2 years.
In 2010, Alex decided to unite his two passions: animals and film. Here, the
franchise of “Furthest from the Wild” was born. The feature documentary
brought attention to the animal sanctuary world and enlightened the viewers
on the true struggles and triumphs they live. The documentary went on to win
awards, such as, Best Documentary and Best Political Documentary. In 2014,
the film was acquired for distribution by Vision Films and can be purchased on
platforms such as: Amazon Prime, Itunes, Google Play, and YouTube.
After the great success of the feature documentary film, Alex is now
expanding his vision into an ongoing documentary series. Season 1 acquired
funding in 2016 and will be focused on worldwide animal rescues and the
incredible teams who save them.
OBJECTIVE: To become an asset in a promising career at a Film Production
company, and to obtain satisfaction from my employers, clients, and myself.
QUALIFICATIONS: Through experience gained in Audio/Video engineering
school and in the field of pre/post-production, I have mastered essential skills
needed to succeed in this industry. I am extensively knowledgeable in the use
of various software programs, including Final Cut pro Suite, Adobe cc suite,
Pro-tools, etc.
I have 10 years experience as a Film Editor. My expertise extends to digital
Mastering for Warner bros. and Disney Studio titles. I am proficient in VOD
distribution deliveries for all major platforms including Amazon and Netflix.
Other skills I have obtained extend to hardware use, such as Digi betas and
HD-cam VTR’s, Kona Hardware, waveform monitors, vector scopes
pro-Audio/Video equipment. I have ten years experience in SD DVD QC and
five years of HD/BD QC. I am knowledgeable in Source QC and Emulation QC.
In my 17 years in working in the industry I have worked with various cameras
on set and have experience as a camera operator, 1st AC, DIT, DOP, Director, &
Producer.
I have excellent interpersonal skills, which is vital in working efficiently as part
of a team and to communicate with clients, if needed. Throughout my career I
have gained years of experience in filmmaking, producing and directing two
shorts and two full feature films and a TV series. I have acquired credits on
IMDB for Producer, Director, Cinematographer, Writer, Editor, Actor, Sound
Department Camera and electrical department.
