Work Experience 2010 – present, founder, SIA POLLEO 2015 ● Created two well received apps for a small startup from San Francisco: ○ iOS app for scheduling get togethers with friends (simple calendaring, contacts, chat, points of interest search, map with location points, push notifications); ○ iOS app for booking appointments with professionals (advanced calendaring, contacts, chat, notes, points of interest search, push notifications, separate pro and client functionality, stripe integration for payments). 2014 ● Planned the server side API and developed a Universal iOS app for a mini social network (users, posts, photos, videos, news feed, tags, search, comments, liking, messages and push notifications). 2013 ● Started offering iOS app development services on elance.com. Worked on 5 small to medium projects. 2012 ● Created two Android apps for Samsung Apps store. Both utilized S Pen library for drawing with a stylus. One of the apps used sketch recognition algorithms to recognize shapes: triangle, rectangle and oval. ● Was contacted by Samsung Electronics and offered a contract for porting of the sound mixing iOS app to Android to put it on Samsung Apps store. The project was tight on time, but was successfully finished within a deadline. 1 2012 ● Created a free sound mixer (Adobe Flash) for American Tinnitus Association (was thanked in a magazine ​ Tinnitus Today​ ). ● Created website gomix.it, which naturesoundsfor.me functionality. added more advanced level to the website’s 2011 ● Created an iOS app for the website naturesoundsfor.me (average rating 4.5). 2010 ● Created a sound mixer (Adobe Flash) for Belgian nonprofit project aifoon.org. ● Created a website naturesoundsfor.me that later became a hit on stumbleupon.com (in a nature section). It has been mentioned in lifehacker.com, makeuseof.com and BBC program Click. 2010 – 2011 ● Worked as an outsourced analyst and developer of Microsoft Dynamics NAV projects. This software is still used in multiple casinos, 11 years since its creation. 2000, web designer (part time job), National Library of Latvia ● Worked together with a designer and implemented some of the changes for the website of National Library of Latvia. 2 Personal Projects 2015 ● soundsfor.me ­ HTML5 webapp for blocking out external noise. ● iOS shopping list app with nice 3D effects (when folding the shopping lists). 2012 ● iOS app for tracking of universal data (weight, sleep, nutrition). The app indexes the entered text to make it easy to enter it the next time. ● iOS app that determines the carrier operator of a cell phone number (uses web scraping). 2009 ● Developed a Firefox plugin that helped to win in a penny auction system. The plugin monitored total amount of money spent by other players, auto­placed the bids and indicated the strategy type of the other players. 2005 ● Developed Java ME mobile game – Russian Checkers. Signed contract to sell it through largest Latvian mobile app seller at that time ­ www.one.lv. 2004 ● Developed Java applet for Russian Checkers (unbeatable by casual players) 2003 ● Developed Delphi application of Russian Checkers (player vs player / player vs computer). The AI was strong enough to win one of the world’s top­30 Russian Checkers players if playing with equal time for computer and a man.
