Hugo Leonardo de Oliveira Melo

I am a brazilian developer with 6+ years developing RubyOnRails, Javascript and PHP in production. During the last 6 years I had the opportunity to manage my own company dealing directly with clients while working with small teams in different companies with many hours of remote pair programming usually using CakePHP and using JS tools like jQuery, AngularJS and RiotJS.
I am excited to learn new technologies and right now I am learning ReactJS and Elixir.
Before the web, I passed 5 years working remotely on the IBM Linux Technology Center in big teams creating Ubuntu and Fedora packages, developing Python scripts for installing and configuring PowerPCs and following Agile methodologies.
From january up to now, I am managing a RubyOnRails + MongoDB + Heroku application where I had the opportunity to manage a small team of developers.

In the free time, I maintain, develop and host a social and economic network with a colleague. We've developed a whole free software tool for buying in collectives (community + orders + reports + consumers and suppliers management + financial accountability and more). It's used for free by communities by like CSA-community supported agriculture.
In these 13 years of professional work, I've learned a lot about Unix administration, free software, testing, maintainability and performance.
