I'm a technical writer and instructional designer with over 20 years of experience. A few things you should know about me:

I hit the ground running. I gain an understanding of a client’s needs and what’s expected of me and then I produce. I don’t require hand-holding.

I can place myself in a learner's or reader's shoes. I know that people absorb information in different ways and I understand the importance of figuring out the optimal content and delivery method.

I love to learn and I'm on a constant quest for new information. That quality is reflected in my work.

I enjoy collaborating with a team. Bouncing ideas off others and sharing knowledge always leads to better results.

I have experience communicating with many types of people. From entry-level team members to executives, I am comfortable talking to, sharing information with, and getting information from others.

I'm a good listener. The more details I can get about a person’s or organization’s wants and needs, the better the deliverable will be. Details are not always apparent at first, so I’m always patient as I listen.

I communicate very well over a variety of mediums. For example, I can work face-to-face with someone, but I can also be very productive by communicating via email, over the phone, or via Skype and using Skype screen sharing.

I have many years of experience as a remote worker. My home office is equipped with everything I need and I’m flexible with my working hours. I've worked with teams in time zones all over the world and I'm happy to adjust my working hours to collaborate with them.
