I am an administrative professional with over 10 years experience and a graphic designer with over 5 years experience. Since discovering freelance sites like this one I have become very passionate about building a Virtual Assistant business, allowing me to combine my love of design with my administrative background. For three years I compiled and edited a ship daily newsletter, utilizing Adobe Indesign for the layout and Photoshop to edit photos. I also created programs and fliers as needed. After returning to land I completed an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design at the Art Institute. Since receiving my degree I have utilized my new knowledge with freelance work creating business cards, social media banners, web banners, logos, fliers, invitations, business cards, newsletters, restaurant menus and even a photo wall mural. More recently I have gained experience within the real estate market by creating/compiling Creative Marketing Analysis booklets, brochures, photo books, and large 6ft x 3ft signs as well as uploading photos and posts to WordPress sites. I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) as well as Microsoft Office and iWork programs. I feel that I can show varied experience, responsibility, creative talent and an ability to communicate effectively, strengths in any role. My experience traveling the world on cruise ships gives me a unique insight and understanding of other cultures, which I hope helps me stand out from other candidates.
