Some key responsibilities of a network

• Designing and implementing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Configuring and maintaining network devices and software
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues
• Identifying and mitigating security threats
• Implementing and maintaining network security protocols, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Managing and maintaining network services, such as DNS and DHCP
• Providing support and training to end users

Troubleshooting a network connectivity issue:

• Start by identifying the affected devices and users
• Use the ping and traceroute commands to check the connectivity and identify the location of the problem
• Check the configuration of the affected devices, such as router and switch
• Check the cable connections, ensure that they are properly plugged in
• Check for errors on the interfaces of the devices
• If the problem persists, check for any physical issues such as damaged cables or hardware failure
• If necessary, escalate the issue to a higher level of support or vendor.
